There are millions of people out there who are doing exactly what I am doing here on my blog. People who are trying to change the atmosphere of animal shelters and the fate of the majority of rescue animals. Like I have talked about in my previous blog posts, the National Humane Society strives to do exactly this, they are probably the most known company who has to do with shelter pets. Another person who has inspired me to choose this topic is the lady who we got my rescue dog, Charlie, from. She started up and owns 11th Hour Animal Rescue, which she runs from her own home. She is one woman who adopts rescue animals who are about to be euthanized or need a lot of help and then puts them up for adoption from her own very backyard. She would rescue all the dogs in the world if she could, she does not have a ton of money but she is so dedicated and does what she loves. She even has alpacas, cats and sheep that she also rescued. She has a Facebook page for where she shares lost dog posts, adoptable dogs and spreads awareness of help that is needed for dogs all over. She told my family about this one time she went in to an animal shelter and came home with 32 dogs (every single dog in the shelter) because she could not stand to leave any one of them. It was in the middle of winter and the day of she lost power for 3 days and she said it was the most crazy and stressful time but she does not regret any part of it. It is people like her who make me believe that anything is possible, so many people say that they can not go in to shelters because they would want to adopt all of them, and this woman did just that. There needs to be more people like her in the world. If it was not for her Charlie and so many other dogs would not have the life they all do today. www.facebook.com/11th-Hour-Animal-Rescue-and-Sanctuary-263851886981192/?fref=ts nationalhumanesociety.org/ My dog, Charlie, who we rescued from 11th Hour Animal Rescue.
